Circle of Care in the News: Partnering with York University In an Innovative Research Study on VR
Circle of Care was mentioned in a York University article for partnering with their team for a new and innovative research study on virtual reality (VR). Lora Appel, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Health at York University, and her team are looking to VR therapy to help improve the mood and behaviour of frail older adults living with cognitive, sensory, and/or mobility impairment.
“If a family member wanted to contribute to the care of a parent but they lived in a different location, VR could be a way they could have shared experiences,“ says Appel. “VR, in a sense, brings people together.”
