About Abuse in Vulnerable Populations

Almost 1 in 10 older Canadians have suffered from abuse. Abuse can be physical, verbal, emotional, financial, or caused by neglect.

No one needs to put up with abuse.
Victims of abuse are often harmed by people they trust. Many older adults are hesitant to tell anyone that they feel abused, fearing retaliation, or worse, having to leave their home.
