About Our Friendly Visiting Program
It is common for older adults to feel isolated and lonely. During COVID-19, while it is not possible for our specially trained volunteers to provide in-person social contact to older adults, our volunteers are regularly calling their clients by phone or virtually connecting through technology.
Volunteers and clients are carefully matched by common interests and language/culture. The special relationship that can develop between a client and a volunteer enables the client to have greater social interaction to maintain healthy, independent living.
