What does a Personal Support Worker do?

At Circle of Care, our Personal Support Workers care for seniors living in their homes by assisting with personal care (i.e. grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting), meal preparation, light housekeeping, and socialization and emotional support.

As someone who has worked in healthcare before, you should understand that your clients are dealing with illness or frailty, and simple tasks can be challenging for them.  We are looking for foreign-trained nurses and doctors who want to help make their clients’ daily routine more manageable. You should be comfortable travelling to and from client’s homes throughout the day, in a community that is near you.

We provide a supportive environment for all our PSWs. Whether you wish to work as a PSW throughout your career, or whether you are working towards gaining your Ontario credentials in nursing or medicine, Circle of Care is here to support you and provide you with Canadian experience. We know that you will start to take pride and fulfillment from the excellent care you provide to clients and the professional relationships you build with them and their caregivers. At Circle of Care, you will work on a multi-disciplinary team and receive support from a Service Coordinator and Client Services Supervisor (RN/RPN).

“I’m glad to have the opportunity to continue providing care here in Canada. Working as a PSW, I am helping people who need support and that’s what I’m passionate about.”
