Join Us as a Homemaker
You belong at Circle of Care.
For more than 40 years, Circle of Care has earned a reputation as a home care provider of choice and a preferred employer. We recognize the important role that Homemakers play in helping older adults live independently at home. A career at Circle of Care provides you with a chance to directly improve the quality of life of older adults in your community.

Our Ideal Candidate
For our Homemaker roles, we are seeking compassionate individuals to support older adults in their home with housekeeping and companionship. Our Homemakers provide housekeeping support to seniors and older adults in their homes including vacuuming, laundry, wiping down counters, light meal prep, and more. This is a great opportunity to interact with seniors in their homes and enhance your client service skillset. You do not need a PSW certificate to work as a Homemaker.
Working at Circle of Care as a Homemaker
Support During the Pandemic
COVID-19 has changed the way we work in homecare and we are here to support you as an essential worker. We provide digital interviewing and onboarding to reduce contact and keep our candidates and staff safe. We provide mental health support and PPE training, and as a government-funded organization, our Homemakers are also eligible for a temporary $3/hr wage increase from the government.
No Specific Education Requirements
Unlike our PSW role, which requires specific education, our Homemaker role only requires an Ontario Secondary School diploma (or equivalent high school education). Therefore, this is a great role for individuals looking to get experience in the healthcare industry, or for current students looking for part-time work.
Comprehensive Benefits for Full-Time Homemakers
Full-time Homemakers are eligible to enroll in a comprehensive health and dental benefits program that includes family coverage. Enrolment and eligibility are based on meeting full time status requirements as per the collective agreement.
Flexible Scheduling
We offer flexible scheduling for our Homemaker role. You provide us with your availability and we only schedule you for client visits within those days and times. We do not require our Homemakers to work weekends.
Recognition
Circle of Care’s Champions of Care employee recognition program celebrates the outstanding efforts of our employees who go above and beyond their roles to provide exceptional care and support to our clients and their families. Our Homemakers are eligible for yearly recognition awards as part of their role at Circle of Care.
