Elder Abuse Prevention Webinar Series: Healthy Communications

Join us for a webinar series on Elder Abuse Prevention with Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario (EAPO)! Gain a better understanding of what constitutes elder abuse, how to recognize risk factors, signs of abuse, how to report it, and how best to support an older adult experiencing or at-risk of abuse. 

Healthy Communications:

Communication is the first building block of any healthy relationship. As we age, our roles, responsibilities, and health may change, all of which may become difficult issues to discuss with our families. 

This presentation provides effective ways of communicating, and grounding techniques to help improve communication in relationships to make sure older adult’s wishes are clearly made known and needs are met. We will discuss tips on staying safe, assertiveness, and resources for support when older adults are not being heard.
