It’s getting harder to cook for myself. What options do I have?
Many older adults find that day-to-day chores get a bit harder as they age. We will make it easier for you. We can prepare a meal in your home, or our volunteers can deliver kosher dinners, soups, snacks, and/or frozen entrées right to your door.
I have been feeling very lonely lately. Is there someone I can talk to?
Of course. We have many ways to help you cope with loneliness, starting with a friendly phone call or having someone drop by for a chat. We can also tell you about our Diner’s Club where you can get out and meet others.
My wife recently passed away. Who can help me around the House? She was the one who took care of the household chores. Is there someone I can trust to turn to for help?
The loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult things to cope with. We can ease your transition by helping you with practical tasks like laundry, light cleaning, and cooking meals. We also have bereavement counselling if you would like to talk to someone.
I have a regular appointment at the hospital but I have no way of getting there. Can you help?
There are so many different government programs and organizations – can you help me make sense of my options?
We know how confusing it can be to make sense of the many health care options. We will help you figure out which programs and services are right for you – and how to access them. Start by getting in touch with us.
